Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Salary Range: $45,000 - $62,000/year, based on experience

Founded in 2018, Midtown Montessori Academy is dedicated to providing an authentic Montessori education for children from infancy through sixth grade. Position Overview
We are currently seeking a full-time Toddler Lead Guide (ages 0–3) to join our nurturing and dedicated team of educators. The ideal candidate is a patient, observant, and loving individual who is Montessori-trained at the Assistants to Infancy (A to I) level. This guide will lead a carefully prepared environment where toddlers can develop autonomy, coordination, and confidence through meaningful work and relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead a toddler community with warmth, consistency, and respect for the developmental needs of children ages 0–3.
- Implement a Montessori curriculum that supports early independence, language development, motor skills, and social-emotional growth.
- Observe and document each child's individual progress; prepare written progress reports for families.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and beautifully prepared classroom that supports toddlers’ freedom of movement and self-care.
- Establish consistent routines that help toddlers feel secure and confident in their daily activities.
- Model and support the development of self-care, toileting, grace and courtesy, and peaceful conflict resolution.
- Communicate daily with families and provide updates on routines, milestones, and developmental progress.
- Collaborate with assistants to ensure a responsive, respectful, and developmentally appropriate environment.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development days, and community events.
- Adhere to all school policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety procedures.
The Ideal Candidate
- Montessori Certification for Infants & Toddlers (Assistants to Infancy) from a MACTE-accredited program
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience working with toddlers in a Montessori classroom
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Deep understanding of early childhood development, particularly in the first three years of life
- Gentle and grounded classroom leadership with strong observation and caregiving skills
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and Transparent Classroom (preferred)
- Current CPR, First Aid, and Universal Precautions certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs and comfortably engage in floor-based caregiving and activities
- Collaborative, professional, and dedicated to cultivating a calm, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture
